Established in July 2019, Insights Air Range is County Durham's leading, open plan, family friendly indoor range for air rifles and air pistols.

We welcome individuals, couples, families and groups of up to 12 people, with or without shooting experience.  Most parents who bring their children to the range enjoy shooting alongside them, for a bit of family bonding and/or friendly competition.

Conveniently located on Chilton Industrial Estate, just off the A167, between Durham and Darlington, the range is open all year long, 6 days a week, and welcomes shooters of all ages (8 years+  for insurance reasons) and abilities, regardless of whether you are a serious shooter or total beginner.

Ample and safe parking (CCTV monitored) is conveniently located directly outside the range, and we have both disabled access and accessible toilet facilities.

Our 12 shooting lanes are all equipped with their own dedicated target card retrieval system, and a selection of paper targets, as well as spinners and bells are available.

Visitors can either hire one or more of our air rifles and/or air pistols, or bring their own.

Parties and/or corporate events can easily be organised, based on groups' requirements.  Exclusive use of the range is also available on request.

Safety is our priority, and shooting lanes are constantly supervised by fully trained Range Commanding Officers, always happy to offer advice and/or training, should the need arise.
